Gold Prices Fall Sharply In Pakistan As Global Rates Decline

Gold prices in Pakistan extended their downward trend on Wednesday in line with a decline in international bullion markets.

According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold dropped by Rs4,700 per tola, bringing the new rate to Rs430,236.

The price of 10 grams of gold also fell by Rs4,029, settling at Rs368,858.

A day earlier, on Tuesday, gold had already recorded a decline of Rs2,500 per tola, closing at Rs434,936.

In the global market, gold prices slipped by $47 per ounce, with the international rate settling at $4,078 per ounce, including a premium of $20.

Silver prices also moved lower in the domestic market, declining by Rs138 per tola to reach Rs6,421.
