KARACHI – The gold price in Pakistan on Tuesday dropped by Rs1,000 per tola in local markets across Pakistan.
The bullion market data showed that the price of 24-karat gold in Pakistan dropped to Rs462,136 per tola, down from the previous rate.
The price of 10 grams of gold also declined by Rs857, settling at Rs396,207.
The decline in domestic gold prices followed a drop in the international bullion market, where gold fell by $10 per ounce to $4,396 per ounce.
Meanwhile, silver prices moved in the opposite direction in Pakistan. The price of silver per tola increased by Rs10 to Rs7,069, while the price of 10 grams of silver rose by Rs9 to Rs6,060.
The latest figures indicate a mixed trend in Pakistan’s precious metals market, with gold becoming cheaper while silver prices recorded a modest increase.
International bullion prices, currency exchange rates and developments in global financial markets are among the key factors that influence precious metal prices in Pakistan.
The investors and consumers continue to closely monitor daily movements in gold prices, particularly amid fluctuations in international markets.
The latest decline provides some relief to buyers after gold prices remained at elevated levels in the domestic market. However, further movements in international bullion prices and the local currency could influence gold rates in Pakistan in the coming sessions.
