In a tragic incident, a foreign woman was raped in the mountains near Islamabad as police launched a search operation to rescue the victim, reported on Saturday.
According to police sources, unidentified men sexually assaulted the woman in the jungle near Daman-e-Koh – a popular tourist spot near the federal capital.
Later, she managed to inform the police about the horrific incident on the phone. But the ordeal did not end with the rape as she lost her way in the forest.
However, the police are trying their best to locate her and have started a search operation in the area around Daman-e-Koh, Talhar and Faisal Mosque. Sniffer dogs are also being used in the ongoing efforts.
Although the woman has not been found by the time this report is filed, the good thing is that she is still in contact with the police on the phone.
