First Omicron case detected in Kashmir Valley

In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, first case of Omicron was confirmed in Kashmir Valley as a woman from North Kashmir’s Bara-mulla district tested positive for the variant on Tuesday.

A health official said that a pregnant lady from Dhanisayden area of Uri in the district tested posi-tive for the variant on Tuesday.

Her sample was taken on 20 December 2021 at Sub-divisional hospi-tal Uri for Omicron. Officials said that she was al-ready Covid positive patient.—KMS
