In a significant step toward enhancing healthcare accessibility for students in public sector, eShifa, a leading Digital Home healthcare company and outreach partner of Shifa International Hospital Islamabad has officially signed Understanding with the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE). The Understanding signed on January 9, 2024, establishes a collaborative framework aimed at providing comprehensive healthcare services to students under the umbrella of continuity of care. eShifa commits to providing free teleconsultation services to students through dedicated telemedicine kiosks. Initially launching services at five schools under the Federal Directorate of Education in Islamabad. Through its partner, Shifa International Hospital, eShifa will conduct in-person medical screenings, including visits from specialized doctors.
Taimoor Shah, Chief Operating Officer of Shifa International Hospital Islamabad, expressed that eShifa aims to extend its medical services to more schools and establish collaborative agreements to offer healthcare facilities to the faculty and schools. The primary objective of this endeavor is to broaden the reach of high-quality health services to a larger student population, thereby improving their educational effectiveness and laying the groundwork for a healthier youth in Pakistan.
