QUETTA – In preparation for the Eidul Adha holidays, Pakistan Railways has launched a special train service to accommodate increased passenger demand.
The Eidul Adha Special Train departed from Quetta on Tuesday with more than 450 passengers en route to Peshawar.
The Divisional Superintendent of Railways Imran Hayat said that the train would make scheduled stops at various key stations along its route through major cities, ensuring maximum convenience for travelers.
The special train has a total seating capacity of 650 passengers, and bookings for over 450 seats were confirmed prior to departure, reflecting the high demand for travel during the festive season.
To ensure a safe and smooth journey, strict security measures were implemented at Quetta Railway Station during the train’s departure. Special arrangements have also been made to protect both the train and the railway tracks throughout the journey.
Speaking to the media, Imran Hayat emphasized the commitment of Pakistan Railways to providing safe, timely and comfortable travel options during Eid. He noted that the launch of the special train is part of a broader initiative aimed at enhancing passenger services during peak travel periods.
He said, “We are doing everything possible to make Eid travel easier and more accessible for the public,” adding that their goal is to ensure passengers enjoy a secure and comfortable journey.
