LAHORE – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Tuesday summoned 22 top white-ball performers from recent Pakistan Super League (PSL) and domestic competitions to attend a special assessment camp in Lahore, scheduled for June 3, 4, and 5.

The camp aims to evaluate the fitness and performance levels of players in preparation for upcoming white-ball series. The selected players will be split into three separate groups, each participating in a short training session under the supervision of the national coaching staff.

According to the PCB sources, the players have been invited to the camp included Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Usman Khan, Saud Shakeel, Shahid Aziz, Abbas Afridi, Salman Mirza, Mir Hamza, Abdullah Shafique, Khawaja Nafay, Haider Ali, Ahmed Daniyal, Mehran Mumtaz, Khurram Shehzad, Muaz Sadaqat, Mohammad Nawaz, Aamer Jamal, Naseem Shah, Sufiyan Muqeem, Ali Raza, and Tayyab Tahir.

The camp is part of the PCB’s broader plan to restructure and strengthen the national white-ball setup, with an eye on future international series.

During the sessions, the players will also be briefed on the board’s roadmap and expectations.

Head coach Mike Hesson will oversee the camp alongside his coaching team. He is expected to hold individual and group meetings with players to outline future strategies and gather feedback.

Senior players will participate across the different groups, ensuring their involvement and guidance for emerging talent.
