RAWALPINDI – Pakistan and Kuwait reaffirmed their commitment to expand strategic cooperation after Kuwait’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, held high-level talks with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.
Kuwaiti delegation, accompanied by Nassar Abdul Rahman J. Al-Mutairi, discussed a wide range of issues, including regional security, evolving geopolitical developments, and measures to further strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
The meeting shows growing importance of Pakistan-Kuwait relations at a time when regional stability and closer strategic coordination remain high on the agenda. Both sides reviewed opportunities to deepen collaboration while reaffirming their shared commitment to peace, security, and long-term cooperation.
Kuwaiti Minister appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability and appreciated Islamabad’s consistent support on issues of mutual concern. He also acknowledged the enduring friendship and close people-to-people ties that have long defined relations between Pakistan and Kuwait.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to strengthening its partnership with Kuwait, emphasizing that the two countries share common objectives of regional peace, stability, and prosperity. He reiterated Pakistan’s desire to further expand cooperation across strategic sectors, reflecting the leadership’s resolve to elevate bilateral ties to new heights.
The high-level engagement is being viewed as another significant step in reinforcing Pakistan-Kuwait relations, with both countries signaling their intent to deepen diplomatic, security, and defence cooperation while working together to promote stability across the wider region.
