DC appreciates media persons

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sialkot Flight Lieutenant (R) Farooq Tahir on Friday has termed the media persons as the eyes and ears of the district administration who by highlighting a number of social problems actually paved the way for the solution of those issues.

He said that while addressing a ceremony to award appreciation certificates to local media persons by the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) at Shafi Auditorium of SCCI.

The DC Sialkot Farooq Tahir further said that for the resolution of 30 to 40 years old sewerage and water supply related problems in Salkot City, the Punjab government had granted Rs 17 billion.

He said that because of the continuing works of repair and reconstruction at a number of roads in the city citizen.
