A couple husband and wife were shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Vehari on Saturday.
According to Police officials, the incident of double murder took place in the jurisdiction of Luddan Police Station, where a husband and wife, who were going t to home riding on a motorcycle. On the way unknown suspects opened fire on them and in result both husband and wife killed on the spot. Police said this was a target killing.
The police took the dead bodies into custody and shifted them to a hospital for post-mortem. Evidence has been collected from the site of the incident and further investigation is underway, said police.—INP
