Complete shutdown in IIOJK on Indian PM’s Sunday visit

Complete shutdown will be observed in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir on the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s visit as a mark of protest against New Delhi’s illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir.

Call for the strike has been given by the All Parties Hurriyat Conference to give a strong message to Modi that Kashmiris will never accept Indian occupation and will continue their freedom struggle till they become masters of their own political destiny. On the APHC appeal, anti-India protest demonstrations will be held in Azad Kashmir and in capitals of world major powers the Kashmiri diaspora against Indian crimes against humanity in Kashmir. Restrictions marked by crackdowns and raids on residences of the Kashmiri people have been imposed across Kashmir valley and Jammu region ahead of Modi’s visit to the occupied territory. The troops and police personnel have been deployed in strength in the name of security. Police arrested at least, five persons in Kathua district.

Meanwhile, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred two Kashmiri youth in Baramulla district, today. The youth were martyred during a cordon and search operation jointly launched by Indian army, paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force and Special Operation Group in Pariswani area of the district. The operation continued till reports came in. Five Indian troops were injured in an attack during Sehri time in the area.

In London, the President of Tehreek-e-Kashmir, UK, Raja Fahim Kayani in a statement strongly protested over British Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s visit to Modi-led India whose hands are soaked in blood of innocent Muslims and other minorities. He said Modi’s fascist regime is the mother of all human rights violations in the world and no conscious person can prefer economic interests over human rights.—KMS
