CM directs stringent steps to stop harassment of women


Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has directed to take effective measures to stop harassment of women adding that a comprehensive action plan should be devised to extirpate such incidents.

In a statement on Thursday, he expressed his deep concern over such occurrences and asked the police to take strict legal action against the accused persons.

The DPOs and RPOs should ensure the elimination of such incidents and indiscriminate action be taken against the criminals, he added.

Usman Buzdar emphasized that the government is answerable to the people and the anti-social elements cannot be allowed to ruin the lives of others. –INP
