In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, senior leader of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Professor Abdul Ghani Butt, has warned that clouds of war are hovering on the horizon of South Asia due to the lingering Kashmir dispute.

Professor Abdul Ghani Butt while interacting with people during his visit to Sharepathri area of Ganderbal district said, the fact of the matter is that Kashmir is an internationally accepted dispute which needs to be addressed with a vast political sense and broader political vision to avert the looming catastrophe.

The APHC leader made it clear to India that mere administrative measures will never serve any purpose and urged New Delhi and Islamabad to leave history behind and start a new beginning to resolve all outstanding issues including the core issue of Jammu and Kashmir through a sustained dialogue process.

Professor Butt visited the Shairpathri area to offer condolences with Hurriyat activist Ghulam Nabi Malla over the death of his mother.—KMS
