ABU DHBAI – The ongoing Class 9th annual examinations under the Federal Board of Intermediate of Secondary Education (FBISE) have been hit by widespread cheating in a Pakistani school located in Al-Ain, Abu Dhabi.

The federal board conducts examination of overseas Pakistani students for Secondary Schools Certificate (SSC) at their respective schools in their residing countries.

A number of Pakistani parents residing in Al Ain have complained about cheating and involvement of invigilators in the illegal activity during ninth class examinations being held at the Pakistani Islamic Private School.

A mother on condition of anonymity revealed that her daughter is taking annual examination of class 9 this year. She revealed that invigilators, who are the staff member of the Pakistani school, forced intelligent students to help those poor in study in attempting the papers.

“I have lodged a complaint with the school administration but no action was taken in this regard,” she said.

She alleged that the staff members asked the students to attempt their papers by cheating but without making any noise.

The aggrieved mother revealed that students are even allowed to exchange their seats during the annual examinations, adding some invigilators also illegally helped the students in completing the paper.

She said such illegal activities are discouraging for the students, who work hard around the year to achieve higher scores.

She suggested that neutral invigilators should be hired to conduct the examinations in transparent manners.

An email has been sent to the school administration to seek their response but it is yet to reply.
