Can Arts Students Get Admission In Fsc Dae Programs After Proposed Changes

LAHORE – For years, Arts students in Pakistan got limited options when it came to admission in Intermediate, and FSc, ICS, and Pre-Engineering seemed out of reach due to a huge difference in curriculum.

Lately, Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC) sub-committee discussed some moved that will help Matric Arts students to get admission in science, technology, and engineering.

The landmark meeting held at Punjab Board of Technical Education in Lahore, which cleared path for Arts students to take admission in FSc Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering, ICS, and even DAE programs.

Experts and board chairpersons from all four provinces attended the session, which promises transformative shift in Pakistan’s education system. From 2026, 50% of exam questions will be objective, and new Matric Tech courses will adopt a revised grading and division system.

Secretary Muhammad Hafeez hailed the decision as “a breakthrough for Arts students, opening doors to scientific and technical education like never before.”

This move is expected to revolutionize the future of thousands of Arts students, giving them opportunities previously limited to science students.
