LAHORE—The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) continued operations against illegal commercial activities in different areas of Lahore.
LDA sealed 14 buildings in Johar Town and another 10 in Garden Town and Gulberg for not paying commercialization fees.
The sealed premises include Butt Karahi Tikka, Apotek Pharmacy, private school, food outlets, grocery shops, showrooms and other businesses.
LDA Director Town Planning Zone-III Sidra Tabassum and Director Town Planning Zone-IV Ali Nusrat carried out the operations in their respective jurisdictions with the help of enforcement teams and Police.
According to the LDA officials, several notices were served to the owners of these buildings before the operations were carried out.
LDA Director General Tahir Farooq has directed continuing indiscriminate operations against violations of building and parking bylaws, encroachments, and illegal commercial use in Lahore.
