Burqa-clad women take to streets in Sopore to condemn blasphemous act

In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, burqa-clad women and female students of local madrassas staged a protest demonstration in Sopore town, Baramulla, against the derogatory remarks on the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) by BJP’s top leadership.

The protest demonstration was organized by local women and students of madarassas in Chinkipora area of the town. The protestors took out the rally from Chinkipora to Sopore Police Station.

Holding placards and chanting slogans, the protesters demanded a stringent action against BJP leaders Nupur Sharma and Naveen Kumar Jindal who made derogatory remarks on Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

A day earlier, students of Government Boys as well as girls Higher Secondary Schools and traders of Sopore town also staged protest demonstrations against the blasphemous act.—KMS
