The Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) has unveiled a revised timetable for the matric exams that were postponed due to a heatwave alert. Controller Examination Khalid Ehsan has issued the updated schedule, revealing that the Urdu paper for 9th standard students will now be held on May 28, followed by the Sindhi paper for 10th standard students on May 29. Additionally, the Islamic Studies paper for 9th standard students is rescheduled for May 30, while the Pakistan Studies paper for 10th standard students will take place on May 31.
This decision follows the postponement of exams originally slated from May 21-27 due to the expected heatwave, as per the notification issued by the BSEK. The board’s decision aligns with the heatwave alert issued by the NDMA and Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA). The revised schedule aims to ensure the safety and well-being of students amidst the challenging weather conditions.
