DHAKA – The five-member inquiry committee probing alleged mismanagement and harassment in Bangladesh women’s cricket has been granted an extension to submit its report until January 31, 2026.
The committee was initially required to present its findings by December 20, but additional consultations and review of evidence led to the deadline being extended.
Earlier, on December 2, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) had also extended the submission deadline at the request of former national captain Jahanara Alam, allowing her to file a written complaint. Her legal team confirmed that she formally submitted her statement to the board on December 4.
The inquiry committee is chaired by Justice Tariq Haque, former judge of the Appellate Division of the Bangladesh Supreme Court.
The extension has provided the committee more time to thoroughly examine the allegations and submit a comprehensive report.
