RAWALPINDI – Field Marshal Asim Munir stressed Balochistan’s strategic importance and economic potential at 18th National Workshop on Balochistan held at GHQ.
The top general highlighted ongoing development initiatives, and hailed the resilience of regions people, and issued stern warning to foreign-backed elements attempting to disrupt peace. He said Balochistan’s prosperity cannot be held hostage by violence, reaffirming the armed forces’ commitment to both security and inclusive socio-economic growth.
CDF hailed the patriotism and resilience of Balochistan’s people, calling the province a cornerstone for Pakistan’s prosperity and long-term growth. He highlighted the sweeping development initiatives by federal and provincial governments, stressing a people-focused approach to uplift socio-economic conditions and fully unlock Balochistan’s wealth for its citizens.
Field Marshal Munir also praised civil society’s role in countering propaganda, stressing that Balochistan’s future should be free from vested political agendas and guided by inclusive, sustainable development.
On security front, COAS issued stern warning to foreign-backed elements, particularly India-sponsored proxies, who continue to incite violence and disrupt development. He vowed that terrorism and unrest would be eradicated through decisive action by Pakistan’s armed forces.
Reiterating Islamabad’s commitment to regional peace and stability, he made it clear that any violation of Pakistan’s territorial integrity, direct or indirect, would face a firm and decisive response. He assured the nation that the armed forces remain steadfast in safeguarding the lives and well-being of all citizens.
