NAYPYIDAW – The son of Myanmar’s former leader Aung San Suu Kyi has voiced serious concerns about her health, as she continues to serve a lengthy prison sentence.
Suu Kyi, who has been detained since 2021, is reportedly serving a 27-year sentence for charges including incitement, corruption, electoral fraud, and other offenses.
Speaking to news agencies, her son said that while her health was previously a matter of concern, he currently has no clear information about her condition and is uncertain whether she is still alive.
