In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has expressed concern over the widespread human rights violations perpetrated by the Indian occupation forces to suppress the Kashmiris’ popular moment for right to self determination.
APHC In-charge Public Relations for Jammu region, Sharif Sartaj in a statement while terming the Kashmir issue purely a political one said that both Pakistan and India are signatories to the United Nations Security Council resolutions which assure the people of Kashmir to decide their political future through a democratic formula of free and fair plebiscite under the auspices of United Nations.
The statement added that Pakistan has time and again impressed upon India and the world community to find a solution to this long pending dispute in an amicable atmosphere within the framework of the United Nations Security Council resolutions.
The APHC leader condemned the use of brute force against the people of Kashmir, in general and the youth in particular for protests against the innocent killings, illegal detentions and gross violation of human rights at the hands of Indian occupation forces.
He urged United Nations Secretary General António Guterres and the world community to take serious cognizance of the prevailing deteriorating situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir where the people have been besieged by more than one million occupation forces who have deprived them of their fundamental rights as guaranteed by the United Nations Charter.
The statement stressed the dire need to resolve Kashmir issue in the interests of global peace and prosperity.
Meanwhile the APHC spokesman in a condolence message expressed his deep shock on the demise of Maulana Faizul Waheed and expressed solidarity with the grief-stricken family.—KMS
