In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has called for a protest strike on Friday against the stepped-up killings by Indian troops.
The APHC General Secretary, Moulvi Bashir Ahmad Irfani in a statement issued in Srinagar strongly condemned the ongoing killing spree by the troops in the garb of cordon and search operations. He termed the killing of 11 innocent Kashmiri youth by the brutal Indian troops in less than one week as crime against humanity and demanded probe by an international investigation agency into heinous acts. The APHC leader appealed to imams and khateebs to remember the martyrs in their prayers after Friday prayer on March 18.
He said these extrajudicial killings by occupational troops that keep taking place in Kashmir at regular intervals are meant to maintain the atmosphere of fear and harassment in the occupied territory.—KMS
