Another Indian jet makes emergency landing in Pakistan

KARACHI – A flight of an Indian airline makes an emergency landing in Pakistan after a passenger suffered a medical emergency.

The airport of the port city witnessed India Airlines making emergency landings due to the critical health condition of passenger on board.

Civil Aviation Authority said a commercial flight from Ahmedabad made an emergency landing at Jinnah International Airport after the health of a passenger deteriorated. In a statement, it said Spicejet flight SG-15 departed from Ahmedabad to UAE, and during the flight sugar level of a patient plunged, causing a medical emergency.

The pilot of Spicejet requested an emergency landing from the Pakistani Air Traffic Controller and after getting the nod, he made an emergency landing at Karachi Airport.

Medics rushed to the airport as the plane landed. It said physicians provided medical assistance to passengers.

This is for second time in a month when an Indian jet landed in Pakistan in late November, an Indian jet made an emergency landing after a passenger died on board.
