President Dr Arif Alvi has expressed profound grief and sorrow over the death of the mother of Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mehmood.
In a tweet on Tuesday, the President wrote, “The mother of my very dear friend Mr Shafqat Mehmood passed away. May her soul rest in peace and may Allah provide strength to my friend and his family to bear this irreparable loss.”Earlier, Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood via a tweet while announcing death of her mother said, “She was like a rock for the family and would be deeply mourned.—INP
