ACP to host fifth women’s conference today

Arts Council of Pakistan (ACP) prepared to host the “Fifth Women’s Conference” today, March 7. The event will commence with opening remarks by President Arts Council of Karachi Pakistan, Muhammad Ahmed Shah, followed by a keynote address from Muneeza Shamsie and poetry recitation by Zehra Nigah. Notably, Zubeida Mustafa will be presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award for her outstanding contributions to society.

The conference will feature a musical performance titled “Roop,” showcasing talents from the Arts Council Academy, including Emad Rahman, Abdul Ghani, and Faizan Bhatti. Numerous sessions will be held throughout the day covering diverse topics such as “Reclaiming the World: Challenges of Today’s Woman,” “Dil ki Baat,” “Hamari Kahaniyan,” “Dekh Zamana Mera Hai,” “On Your Own,” and “The Changing Measures of Success.” Adding to the cultural richness of the event, a theater play titled “Kamla,” directed by Uzma Sabeen, will be showcased during the conference.
