Entire city of Abbottabad turned into a big garbage dump as Cantonment Board, TMA and WASSCA has stopped the lifting of garbage from the city as the all the three bodies has no place to dump the city garbage as High Court has barred them to not to throw at the only main dumping point of Salhad which is being used as Waste Dump for the last forty years.
The entire sub dumping points in Kehal, Kunj, Malikpura, Nawansher, Shiekhulbandi, Supply, Sethi Masjid, Iqbal road, and city sabzi mandi, Bandajaat and other areas and every corner of the city is full of heap of garbage lying on the roadside and corner of the roads. The small and large containers which were placed at different points by the WASSCA, Cantonment Board are not lifted for the last couple of days and it has created the hygienic problem in the city while road passers and traffic is also facing difficulty to move in the streets and on roads. WASSCA, Cantonment and TMA sanitation staff is facing uphill task to clean the streets and dumping points in the city area as they had not alternative place to dump the city garbage.According to details, Peshawar High Court Abbottabad circuit bench on Contempt of Court application has taken decision on 23rd November and had ordered to not to throw the garbage at the main city entrance point,the Salhad and ordered the city departments to shift the dump to any other place.
