ISLAMABAD – A disturbing incident of murder shook Abbottabad as police uncovered the brutal murder of Dr. Wardha, allegedly orchestrated by none other than her closest friend over a dispute involving 67 tola gold.
Police confirm that on December 4, Dr. Warda’s father reported her missing at the Cantt Police Station. Without wasting a moment, authorities launched a high-tech investigation, digging deep into digital records and surveillance footage, and what they found left the entire team stunned.
According to investigators, Dr. Warda entrusted her friend Rida with 67 tola of gold. When she demanded its return, tensions escalated, and ultimately turned deadly.
On December 4, 2025, Rida allegedly lured Dr. Warda from DHQ Hospital under the pretense of returning the gold. Instead, she drove her to her under-construction home at Rehman Street, Jadoon Plaza, where abductors Shamariz and Nadeem were already waiting. After handing Dr. Warda over, Ridah quietly returned home, leaving the sinister plan in motion.
What followed was a nightmare as abductors confessed to kidnapping, murdering, and secetly burying the young doctor in a dug-up pit inside the Lari Banota forest, the location later confirmed and pointed out by accused Parvez.
The police response was swift and relentless. By meticulously analyzing CCTV footage, CDR data, and other technical evidence, officers raided multiple locations, interrogated 35+ suspects, and finally arrested Rida Jadoon, Nadeem Zeb, and Parvez. Meanwhile, special police teams are currently in Peshawar to hunt down the prime suspect Shamariz, who remains at large.
Under the supervision of DSP Cantt and SHO Cantt, police recovered Dr. Warda’s body and sent it for a complete forensic examination. Key evidence, including vehicles used in the crime, legal documents, and cheques connected to the gold, is now in custody.
Vowing justice, DPO Abbottabad declared that “No oppressor will escape the grip of the law. Justice for the victim will be ensured, transparently and professionally.”
