In occupied Kashmir, novel coronavirus infection claimed the lives of eight more persons, taking the overall fatality count due to the deadly disease in the territory to 116.
Four COVID-19 related deaths were reported at Soura hospital, three at SMHS hospital and one at Chest Disease hospital in Srinagar. The deaths at Soura hospital included a 65-year-old from Nadigam, Shopian, a 65-year-old from Tarigam and 55-year-old man from Yaripora area of Kulgam, and a 65-year old man from Sopore town in Baramulla district.
The deaths at SMHS hospital included a 65-year-old from Kulgam, a 75-year-old man from Wadwan area of Budgam and a 65-year-old woman from Batamaloo area of Srinagar. While a resident of Habba Kadal area of Srinagar, a 60-year-old man died at CD hospital.—KMS
