QS World University Ranking 2021

Living up to its reputation of being a top professional university on national as well as international level, Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences (PIEAS) has ranked 373 rd place improving two slots as compared to its last year’s position of 375th.
It is pertinent to mention that only two Pakistani universities have made it to the top 400 among 1000 Universities worldwide according to latest Ranking released by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) for the year 2021 and PIEAS is one of them. According to details, in all, seven Pakistani universities succeeded in making it to the prestigious world ranking.
It is also worth mentioning that PIEAS has been consistently performing well in the University Rankings released by HEC in Pakistan and by QS and other international rating agencies worldwide for many years. Chairman Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC), Mr Muhammad Naeem (HI, SI) has congratulated Rector PIEAS Dr. Nasir Majid Mirza and the diligent faculty for achieving this milestone and improving the international ranking of the university.
The Quacquarelli Symonds’, a notable UK-based higher education ranking agency, uses a consistent methodological framework based on six metrics, including academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty/student ratio, citations per faculty, international faculty ratio and international student ratio. Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Stanford University, and Harvard University have claimed the top 3 spots for 2021 like previous year.
