Security forces on Friday destroyed several Afghan Taliban posts and military installations near South Waziristan and Parachinar in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in retaliation for cross-border firing in Angoor Adda on October 27.
Security sources said Taliban personnel abandoned their positions following the strikes, while multiple casualties were also reported.
The operation followed a mortar attack on Angoor Adda that killed one civilian, injured five members of the same family and damaged several shops.
The latest clashes come amid recurring cross-border violence, with Islamabad repeatedly urging Kabul to prevent militant groups from using Afghan territory to launch attacks inside Pakistan.
