ISLAMABAD – Diesel consumers face another increase in fuel costs after the government raised high-speed diesel by Rs1.91 per litre for October 24–26, 2026, while keeping petrol unchanged at Rs377.71.
The revision pushes diesel to Rs393.66 per litre from Rs391.75. It follows Thursday’s increase of Rs1.64, taking the combined rise across the two successive revisions to Rs3.55 per litre.
Petrol users, meanwhile, retain the relief announced a day earlier, when the government reduced the price by Rs1.60 per litre.
The Petroleum Division announced the latest rates on Friday, saying the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority had determined the revised ex-depot prices under the federal government’s petroleum pricing mechanism.

Global Oil Rally Adds Pressure
The domestic announcement came as international crude prices climbed on concerns that Houthi attacks in Saudi Arabia could further disrupt energy supplies from the Middle East.
Brent crude futures rose $1.40, or 1.2%, to $114.57 a barrel by 1138 GMT on Friday. Earlier trading pushed the benchmark to $115, its highest level since May 4.
US West Texas Intermediate crude advanced $1.48, or 1.5%, to $100.95 a barrel.
Brent was heading towards its third consecutive weekly increase, with a gain of 4.2%. WTI, however, remained on course for a weekly decline of approximately 0.5%, despite its gains during Friday’s session.
What Goes Into the Pump Price
Under the daily review mechanism introduced in mid-2026, domestic prices are adjusted to reflect international fuel quotations, premiums and associated expenses.
The reported petrol price breakdown includes a petroleum levy of Rs80 per litre and a climate support levy of Rs5. Dealer and oil marketing company margins stand at Rs9.98 and Rs7.87 per litre, respectively.
For consumers, the latest decision leaves a clear divide: petrol holds at its reduced rate through October 26, while diesel becomes more expensive for the second successive review.
