RAWALPINDI – Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry will hold an important press conference shortly as Pakistan intensifies counterterrorism operations amid heightened security tensions along its western border.
The military’s media wing is expected to brief journalists on the latest national security situation, counterterrorism operations, developments along the western frontier and other key security matters.
The briefing comes as security forces continue operations against militants in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while Pakistan has also carried out strikes against alleged militant hideouts inside Afghanistan.

Pakistan Army conducted strikes against alleged militant hideouts inside Afghanistan, killing 22 militants, according to the reported details.
The strikes targeted alleged safe havens and camps associated with Fitna al-Khawarij, Fitna al-Hindustan and affiliated militant groups.
The latest actions have further intensified security tensions along Pakistan’s western border, where counterterrorism operations are continuing across multiple areas.
