Operation Ghazab lil Haq: Pakistani forces kill 22 terrorists in airstrikes in Afghanistan

ISLAMABAD – The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said Pakistani forces have killed 22 terrorists in “well planned and calibrated aerial strikes against the hideouts and safe havens of terrorists organisations of Fitna al Khwarij and Fitna al Hindustan”.

The strikes were conducted in continuation of operation Ghazab lil Haq and Pakistan’s resolve to eliminate terrorists, their networks and supporters, the ministry said in a post on X.

“Based on credible intelligence, selective targeting of Terrorist camps and hideouts at two locations belonging to Fitna al khwarij, Fitna al Hindustan and their affiliates has been carried out in Afghanistan with precision and accuracy. Targets were destroyed with precision and initial reports suggest killing of twenty two terrorists. Large quantities of weapons and ammunition stored at these hideouts was also destroyed,” read the statement.

The ministry said Pakistan has always strived for the maintenance of peace and stability in the region.

However, the safety and security of our citizens remains our foremost priority. It is a matter of grave concern that Afghanistan continues to remain a hub of terrorism. The threat to Pakistan emanates from Afghanistan.

“In this context, our action precisely targeted the terrorist hubs. Maximum precautions were taken and it was ensured that no collateral damage occurs.”

“Our relentless Counter Terrorism campaign Ghazab lil Haq under vision ‘Azm e Istehkam’ by Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out the menace of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism from the country,” the ministry said.
