Big Drop In Gold Rates In Pakistan Amid Record Buying Full Price List

Gold prices in Pakistan declined on October 1, with the domestic market reversing part of the previous session’s sharp gains amid renewed weakness in international bullion prices. 24-karat gold fell by Rs3,000 per tola to Rs438,636 on Thursday. The price of 10 grams of gold dropped by Rs2,572 to Rs376,059.

The latest decline came after gold had gained Rs4,300 per tola on September 30, closing at Rs441,636. The previous day’s increase followed a $43 rise in international gold prices, which had taken the global rate to $4,191 per ounce.

The domestic correction came as gold prices also retreated in the international market.

Global gold fell by $30 per ounce to $4,161, highlighting the continued volatility in bullion markets. International gold had already recorded a sizeable decline during September, with market movements influenced by changing expectations around US interest rates, bond yields, the dollar and inflation.

Silver rates

Silver also moved lower in Pakistan on October 1.

The price of 24-karat silver decreased by Rs50 per tola to Rs6,528, while the 10-gram rate fell by Rs43 to Rs5,596. The international silver price also declined by around $0.50 to $60.50 per ounce.

Gold’s Price Trends 2026

October decline follows a volatile September in Pakistan’s gold market. Gold began the month at approximately Rs444,727 per tola and climbed rapidly during the opening sessions. The price reached around Rs450,056 on September 2 before touching the monthly peak of Rs459,540 on September 3.

The market subsequently moved lower. Gold slipped to approximately Rs455,696 on September 4 and Rs452,350 on September 5, before spending much of the middle of the month fluctuating within the broader Rs440,000–Rs450,000 range.

By mid September, the rate had fallen to around Rs443,647. A temporary recovery followed between September 17 and 19, when prices moved back toward Rs451,550. The market then weakened again during the final part of the month.
