Senior Pakistani actress Meera has appealed to the British Embassy to issue her a visa to travel to London and visit her sister, Shaista Abbas, who has been diagnosed with late-stage cancer.
In a video shared on social media, Meera said she was currently in New York and appealed to the British authorities to grant her a visa on humanitarian grounds.
“My sister Shaista Abbas is in London and has been diagnosed with cancer. She is in the final stage of the disease and her condition is very serious,” the actress said.
Meera added that her mother and brother were also in London and that she wanted to travel to the UK to see her sister.
