The ninth edition of the Leaders in Islamabad Business Summit (LIIBS) 2026, organised by the Nutshell Group, brought together senior government officials, global institutional leaders, business executives and thought leaders at Islamabad Serena Hotel to deliberate on Pakistan’s economic, technological and geopolitical future.
Held under the theme “The Next Move,” the day-long summit focused on the strategic choices confronting Pakistan amid changing global power dynamics, evolving technology, shifting capital flows and emerging regional partnerships. The event sought to move the discussion from uncertainty towards practical action in the areas of economic reform, investment, technology, regional connectivity and institutional leadership.
The summit opened with the inaugural session “The Next Move: Reading the Moment,” featuring Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, Federal Minister and Adviser to the Prime Minister on Privatisation Muhammad Ali, Minister of State for Finance and Railways Bilal Azhar Kayani, Global Executive Director of ACCA Lucia Real Martin, Aamir Ibrahim, CEO JazzWorld and Chairman Mobilink Bank, JazzCash and TPL Insurance, Dr Faisal Hashmi, Senior Director Public Affairs, Sustainability and Communication at Coca-Cola Pakistan, and Muhammad Azfar Ahsan, Founder and Chairman of Nutshell Group and former Minister for Investment.
