PANJGUR – Security forces have killed four militants during an operation in Panjgur area of Balochistan.
The operation was launched after security forces received information about the presence of terrorists affiliated with Fitna al-Hindustan in the area.
During the operation, an intense exchange of fire took place between the security forces and the militants. Four militants were killed in the firing, the sources said.
A large quantity of modern weapons and ammunition was also recovered from the militants following the operation.
According to the security sources, operations against militants are continuing in the area and will remain ongoing until the last militant is eliminated
Earlier, fire exchange took place between the security forces convoy and terrorists on 20 September in Hangu District, Pakistan.
Resultantly, eight Indian-sponsored militants were killed due to effective engagement by own troops.
However, during the intense fire exchange, two brave officers including Captain Abuzar Farooq (Age: 23 years, resident of District Gujranwala) and Lieutenant Sheraz Babar (Age: 22 years, resident of District Chakwal), who were leading their troops from the front, fought gallantly and paid the ultimate sacrifice and embraced shahadat along with their four men.
ISPR said the relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under vision “Azm e Istehkam” (as approved by Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out the menace of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism from the country. These sacrifices of our brave soldiers further reinforce our unwavering commitment to safeguarding our nation at all costs.
