KARACHI – Byco, the retail fuel brand of Cnergyico Pk Limited, implemented Prime Minister’s Fuel Relief Scheme across a vast majority of its nationwide retail network within a day of the programme’s launch, with additional outlets being brought under the scheme on a daily basis.
Under the government-funded initiative, eligible owners of motorcycles, three-wheelers and cars with engine capacities of up to 800cc can receive relief of Rs100 per litre of petrol, subject to the scheme’s terms and conditions.
The company said commuters in cities, towns and along highways across Pakistan had already begun availing the relief at participating Byco fuel stations.
Commenting on the rollout, Cnergyico Vice Chairman Usama Qureshi said the speed of implementation reflected Byco’s operational capacity and its efforts to support the government in delivering the relief programme to eligible beneficiaries.
“The speed of this rollout reflects Byco’s operational strength and its commitment to supporting the Government of Pakistan in delivering relief to its intended beneficiaries without delay. Byco is helping make the scheme accessible to commuters across the country,” Qureshi said.
Under the scheme, eligible motorists are required to register via SMS to 9771 and obtain a fuel relief token before visiting a participating Byco station. Registration and eligibility information is available through the programme’s official website, pmfuelrelief.pk.
According to the company, Byco’s retail team was mobilised within hours of the scheme’s announcement. Staff have been working to assist customers, address queries and facilitate the redemption of fuel relief tokens at participating outlets.
The company has also launched an awareness campaign through social media, digital platforms and outdoor advertising, including hoardings, to explain the registration procedure and encourage eligible motorists to avail themselves of the relief.
Byco said it would continue expanding the scheme’s coverage across its retail network and facilitate eligible customers in accessing the government-funded fuel relief in different parts of the country.
