Synoptic Situation
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea & Bay of Bengal are penetrating the upper parts of Pakistan and are likely to strengthen from tonight. A westerly wave is also likely to affect the upper and central parts of the country from tonight.
Forecast
Under these conditions, widespread intermittent rains and gusty winds are expected in Rawalpindi, Murree, Galyat, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Faisalabad, Khushab, Sargodha, Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Sahiwal, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Nankana Sahib, Chiniot, Okara, Noor Pur Thal, Bhakkar, Mianwali, Layyah, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Dera Ghazi Khan, Kot Addu, Taunsa, Multan, Khanewal, Lodhran, Muzaffargarh, Kot Addu, Rahim Yar Khan and Rajanpur. Heavy falls and at times very heavy falls may also occur at a few places during the period.
Impacts
Heavy rains may trigger landslides in vulnerable areas of Murree & Galyat. Widespread rains may generate flash flooding in local streams and nullahs of Murree, Galyat, Northeastern Punjab, and hill torrents of Dera Ghazi Khan.
Heavy rains may also cause urban flooding in Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sialkot, Multan and Faisalabad. Windstorm, lightning & heavy rains may damage weak structures such as solar panels, electric poles, and billboards.

Daytime temperatures in Lahore are expected to remain between 37°C and 39°C on Tuesday and between 35°C and 37°C on Wednesday.
