Pakistan and Australia are set to face off in a three-match ODI series beginning on Saturday, May 30, at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
The remaining two fixtures will be held at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on June 2 and June 4. All matches are scheduled to start at 4:30 pm Pakistan Standard Time.
The home side will be led by Shaheen Shah Afridi, while Josh Inglis will captain Australia during the series. The opening ODI in Rawalpindi will also mark a historic milestone for Pakistan cricket, as it will be the team’s 1,000th ODI.
Pakistan played their first-ever ODI against New Zealand in Christchurch in 1973. Since then, the team has featured in 999 ODIs, recording 527 victories and 442 defeats. Nine matches ended in ties, while 21 produced no result.
Australia currently hold the upper hand in the teams’ ODI rivalry. In 111 meetings between the two nations, Australia have won 71 games compared to Pakistan’s 36 victories. Three matches ended without a result, while one was tied.
Despite Australia’s overall dominance, Pakistan have claimed victory in each of the last two bilateral ODI series between the sides by a 2-1 scoreline. Pakistan defeated Australia 2-1 during the visitors’ tour in 2022, and repeated the same result during their tour of Australia in November 2024.

For the first time, the Pakistan Cricket Board will provide live streaming of the series in Pakistan through its OTT platform, “PCB Live”. The matches will also be televised nationwide on PTV Sports.
International viewers will be able to follow the action through various broadcasters, including Fox Sports in Australia, T Sports and Tapmad in Bangladesh, Willow in North America, Cricbuzz in the MENA region, and Dialog in Sri Lanka. “PCB Live” will additionally stream the series in Europe, the UK, the Caribbean and Africa.

Former Australian batter Greg Blewett will also join the broadcast team. Zainab Abbas will host the PCB’s PitchSide Studio during the pre- and post-match coverage throughout the series.
