ISLAMABAD/TEHRAN – Pakistani oil tanker Khairpur has succeeded in exiting the Strait of Hormuz after repeated earlier attempts were turned back, according to vessel tracking data.
The ship, operated by the Pakistan National Shipping Corporation, is carrying an estimated 80 million liters of diesel loaded from Kuwait, marking a significant fuel shipment bound for Pakistan amid heightened regional uncertainty in the Gulf.

Tracking information shows tanker initially maneuvered along a carefully monitored northern route near Iran’s Qeshm and Larak islands, repeatedly changing course before finally breaking through and turning south toward open waters.
Now clear of the critical chokepoint, the vessel is broadcasting Karachi as its destination, with an expected arrival date of May 4 at Karachi Port.
The transit took place through the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz, the closely watched and geopolitically sensitive shipping lanes in the world amid US-Iran War.
