LAHORE – The mehndi ceremony of Junaid Safdar, son of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, was held at Jati Umra, with members of both the bride’s and groom’s families and close relatives in attendance.
The pictures and videos of the Mehndi went viral and took over the social media.
Junaid Safdar wore a traditional deep navy-blue kurta featuring golden buttons and a simple cut, paired with a golden-brown shawl draped over his shoulder. The navy and gold combination complemented the festive wedding palette.

The wedding festivities of Junaid Safdar and Shanzay Rohale Ali, granddaughter of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, are being hosted at Jati Umra, with members of the Sharif and Sheikh Rohail Asghar families participating.

Renowned dancer Wahab Shah was invited to perform at the mehndi ceremony.
A reception for 350 guests was arranged, with a range of traditional dishes served, including soup, chicken dum porah, daal gosht, aloo gosht, white rice, barbecue, carrot halwa and daal halwa.
The baraat is scheduled to depart for Lake City today, January 17, at 1:00 pm, with around 400 guests invited. The walima ceremony will be held on January 18 at Jati Umra Farms, where approximately 800 guests are expected.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, along with federal and provincial ministers, senior political leaders, and foreign guests, has also been invited to attend.
