ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Navy Ship (PNS) SAIF made notable visit to Port of Male as part of its ongoing overseas deployment. The ship’s arrival was marked by a warm and ceremonial welcome from Maldivian authorities, symbolizing the enduring friendship between the two nations.
During its stay, Mission Commander held series of high-level meetings with the military leadership of the Maldives and paid an official visit to the High Commission of Pakistan. The discussions focused on mutual interests, enhanced naval cooperation, and joint efforts in maritime security, underscoring the growing strategic alignment between Pakistan and the Maldives.
The visit garnered major diplomatic attention as Maldivian government officials, foreign ambassadors, and members of the international diplomatic community came aboard PNS SAIF to witness Pakistan Navy’s modern capabilities and operational excellence firsthand.
Culminating the visit, PNS SAIF and Maldives Coast Guard vessels carried out a Passage Exercise (PASSEX), a joint naval drill aimed at improving coordination, interoperability, and maritime domain awareness.
These recurring port calls by Pakistan Navy ships to the Maldives are a testament to the robust bilateral relations between the two friendly nations.
