AT a time when India has increased its hostilities across the line of control, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited forward troops along the LoC and warned the enemy against any misadventure saying Pakistan Army will give a befitting response to the Indian violations and that it will defend honour, dignity and territorial integrity of the motherland at all costs.
The entire nation has no doubts over the professional preparedness and capabilities of the country’s armed forces to defend the motherland. Our forces have always rose to the occasion, be it guarding the frontiers in war, protecting the lives of people in various calamities, rendering services for nation building or purging the society of the menace of terrorism. At a time when Pakistan Army is at the forefront in national efforts against novel Coronavirus, it continues to bite the dust to the enemy at the line of control. This indeed is the time to focus energies to cope with the situation arising out of the unprecedented pandemic but the regrettable part is that the Indian side is not ready to shun its hostilities and belligerence against Pakistan and the people of Kashmir. Their military and political leadership continue to spit venom against Pakistan. This year, India has already committed over 880 ceasefire violations killing and injuring innocent civilians. Modi Junta is doing all this to divert attention from its atrocities in occupied Jammu and Kashmir as well as the domestic situation where Muslims are being subjected to increased violence and persecution. The fact of the matter is that with each passing day, the situation is getting worst for the Indian Muslims.
The Indian leadership is playing with the fire and the consequences of this could be disastrous for an already volatile region. The situation is really alarming both in India and the occupied Jammu and Kashmir, and the world community must realize and take notice of it before it is too late. Important capitals must come forward and use their influence on New Delhi to get stopped atrocities against Muslims both in India and occupied Jammu and Kashmir. And if they fail to convince the extremist Indian government, then they must consider punitive action such as imposing sanctions on India after convening an emergency session of UN Security Council. Giving a free rein will only embolden the Modi government to further intensify its hate campaign and aggression against Muslims and Pakistan. But nobody should be mistaken about the resolve and commitment of Pakistani nation and forces to defend the motherland against any aggression, and the whole world saw its manifestation in February last year when two Indian aircraft were shot down by our Shaheens.
