ISLAMABAD – Pakistani government announced slight reduction in petrol prices by Rs. 1 per litre, bringing the new price to Rs. 254.63 per litre. However, the price of high-speed diesel remains unchanged at Rs. 258.64 per litre.
Petrol Price April 2025
Products | New Price |
---|---|
Super Petrol | Rs. 254.63 |
High-Speed Diesel | Rs. 258.64 |
As Pakistanis were anticipating a larger cut of Rs. 3 per litre, the government’s decision to lower the price by just Rs. 1 has left some disappointed. The price cut, announced just ahead of Eid, offers some relief to consumers during the festive season, but the reduction is less than expected.
The drop in petrol prices follows a dip in global oil prices, allowing the government to pass on some of the relief to the public. However, the smaller-than-expected cut has raised questions among consumers, who were hoping for more significant savings.
Although the reduction is modest, it provides some financial relief for the masses as they prepare for the Eid celebrations.
