Number of registered voters in Pakistan swells to 132.67 million

ISLAMABAD: The number of registered voters in Pakistan surged to 132.67 million after witnessing an increase of 0.47 million as compared to previous 132.2 million.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has shared latest data, saying the total number registered male voters stands at 71.28 million (53.72%) while there are 61.39 million (46.28%) female voters.

Punjab has the largest voter base of 75.55 million. Of the total voters, 40.24 million (53.27%) are males and 35.30 million (46.73%) are females.

The total number of registered voters in Sindh stands at 27.82 million, with 15.03 million males (54.03%) and 12.79 million females (45.97%).

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa stands at third sport in terms of largest registered voters as there total 22.59 voters in the province. As per fresh data, there are 12.28 million male voters (54.38%) and 10.30 million female voters (45.62%).

Balochistan’s total registered voters are accounted to 5.54 million, with 3.10 million male voters (56.01%) and 2.43 million female voters (43.99%).

In Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), there are a total of 1.17 million voters with 0.61 million male voters (52.37%) compared to 0.56 million females (47.63%).

When it comes to district-wise, there are a total of 7,170,620 voters in Lahore, with number of male voters standing at 3,775,235 (52.65%), and female voters at 3,395,385 (47.35%).

The total number of voters in Karachi is approximately 7.23 million with male voters standing at 3,874,555 (53.58%), and female voters at 3,356,441 (46.42%).
