No cut in land for Gurdwara Kartarpur: Sarwar

Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has said that no cut will be made in land for Gurdawra Darbar Sahib Kartarpur and Baba Guru Nanak. Rather 42 acres land has been allocated for Gurdawar Darbar Sahib and 62 acres for cultivation. In this way, total land for Gurdawar Darbar Sahib will be 104 acres.
He made these announcements while briefing the media during visit to Kartarpur Corridor on Tuesday. The governor further announced not to make any kind of construction on land which remained under cultivation of Baba Gurur Nanak. He added that total land for Kartarpur Corridor will be 408 acres. Project Director FWO Colonel Nadeem , Brigadier Atif, NESPAK officers and others departments briefed the governor about the development work there.
Commisoner Gujranwala, DCO Narowal, DPO Narowal, RPO Gujranwala Tariq Qureshi, Kamran Lashari and others were also present on the occasion. Cahudhry Sarwar inspected the pace of development work on Gurdawara Darbar Sahib and Kartar Corrdior for more than an hour and lauded the performance of FWF and other departments working there.
He said we also want Indian Prime Minister Narendara Modi should also participate in the inagural ceremony of the Kartarpur Corridor. “The FWF and other departments have completed the work on the coordor in months which otherwise could have taken years to complete,” he maintained.He said that Pakistan would complete work on the corridor during October of the current year.
Those 5,000 Sikh Yatrees having valid visas will also be able to have stay in the Kartarpur, he added. He made it clear that the Sikh yatrees coming from India would have to return back from kartarpur in the given time. The governor said that 80 percent work on the Kartarpur Corridor has been completed as per vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan and God willing, all the work would be completed here before 550 birth celebrations of Baba Guru Nanak in October.
He said it was good omen that second round of talks between Pakistan and India on the Kartarpur Corrdior remained successful. He hoped that India would also complete development work on Kartarpur Corridor on its side in the required time.
He said three acres of land was allocated under the Kartarpur Corrdior project for Gurdawara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur but we have decided to increase it . ld.Chaudhry Sarwar further said that special transport would be provided from Check Point to Darbar Sahib to those Sikh Yatrees coming from India. “Work is underway at three lungar Khanas at Darbar Sahib where the Sikh Yatrees would be provided quality meal and other facilities,” he said.
The governor further said that the Sikh yatrees coming from Uk, USA and other countries on valid visas would be granted permission to stay here and residences are being built for them. 5,000 Sikh Yatrees will be able to stay at one time, he added.To a question, he said religious tourism and heritage committee headed by him is making full efforts for promotion of tourism in country as per vision of Imran Khan.
Four federal ministers including federal minister for religious affairs, three provincial ministers and officers of relevant departments are also part of the committee, he added. “God willing, we will generate 4 to 5 billion dollars through tourism”, the governor concluded
