Plastic bag is a type of container made of thin, flexible plastic textile. They are used for containing and transporting such goods. It is a common form of packaging. Beside its advantages, there are many disadvantages.
As we all know, plastic bag produces toxic fumes when it is burnt. It takes thousands of years to decompose. It also releases greenhouse gases when they are exposed to ultraviolet radiation.
It is also harmful to animals and wild life as well as marine life. They are not environment-friendly. It is non renewable. It also affects land, agriculture, environment due to pollution caused by plastic bags. These plastic bags are not safe for the humans as well as for animals. Authorities should take major action against it and should ban plastic bags in Pakistan.
