DUBAI – The schedule for upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is likely to be announced on Tuesday (today).

All matters between Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have settled regarding tournament, and the agreements between both boards concerning the Champions Trophy 2025 are now in their final stages.

Both boards assured the International Cricket Council (ICC) of the new draft with mutual cooperation, after which the final announcement is expected today.

The Champions Trophy will be played under a hybrid model, and the Pakistani team will not tour India for any ICC event until 2026.

Under the hybrid model, if the Indian team does not reach the semifinals or final, the entire event will be played in Pakistan; otherwise, one semifinal and the final will be held in the United Arab Emirates if the Indian team reaches those stages.

Earlier, it was reported that the announcement of the event’s schedule could not be made last week due to the holiday.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan-India match in the event will also be played in Dubai, and the Indian team will play all three of its group matches at this venue.

In an official meeting of the boards, the ICC has approved the hybrid model, and a principled agreement has also been reached between Pakistan and India on this matter.

If the hybrid model is accepted, the ICC will grant Pakistan the hosting rights for the Women’s Tournament after 2027 while the decision on the knockout matches of the 2026 T20 World Cup will be decided later.
